A substantial mid-19th-century medallion in rich 15ct yellow gold. The front is set with a raised floral cluster framed by fine engine-turned detailing, finished with an applied border of scrolling foliate goldwork.
The reverse holds a glazed compartment — a classic Victorian sentimental feature — originally for a portrait, lock of hair, or miniature. Heavy, tactile, and beautifully made.
